Event FAQ

Does my event include access to all 6 acres of the farm?
This is a working farm with shared spaces. Hope Farm facilitates events, farm classes, workshops, and other activities, leases one acre of land to the Growing Project, a local non-profit, and is the site of a beautiful VRBO farm house. You may use the venue in cooperation with all the activities taking place on the farm.

How big of an event can we have?
The Red Barn Loft can handle 75 guests. The large Barn holds up to 150 guests.

Do you have Audio/Visual Equipment at the venue?
We have speakers, a projector and pull-down screen.  

We strictly follow the county ordinance which means music cannot exceed 70 decimals inside of the venue, 50 decimals outside. All music must end promptly by 9:00pm.

Does the Farm have WIFI?
There is no wireless access on the farm. You can bring a hotspot, or turn a mobile device into a hotspot and connect up to 3 devices. This will count on your mobile data plan.

Do you have Food & Alcohol  Services? Or can I bring in my own?
Hope Farms has no on-site bar or catering services. All food and beverage must be brought in by approved outside vendors. 

There are no kitchen, sink or prep areas available. Limited water access is available. Please make sure your caterers are aware of these details. 

We do not have a liquor license. You must be show proof of and provide your own liquor license. 

Can we serve alcohol at our event?
Yes you can, but we do not have a liquor license. You will need to provide your own.   

Is there parking on-site? 
Hope Farms has on-site parking for a total of 80 cars. 

There is no overflow parking permitted on the surrounding streets. We encourage biking, walking or carpooling to your event to cut down on parking.  

How do we get to the farm?
The farm is located at 1601 North Shields, off the corner of Wilcox in Fort Collins, Colorado. The farm is also easily accessible via the Poudre Bike Path.

Are decorations allowed to be brought in for the event?
Yes, they can be brought in but keep the following in mind:

All decoration setup, tear down and cleanup is the responsibility of the client.

We do not have plates, glassware, flatware or linens. You will need to provide your own.

Tables and chairs are already set up when you arrive. You are welcome to re-arrange but it is your responsibility to return the room to the original setup by the end of your contracted event time.

Decor cannot be taped, tacked, nailed or affixed to ceilings, walls, poles, beams, windows, etc. “Leave no trace” décor only.

No glitter, rice, silly string, or other hard to gather, small décor allowed.  
LED candles only. No flames permitted.

All decoration set up and clean up must be factored in to your rental time. There will be a $250 per hour fee should additional cleaning or tear down services be necessary after your event. 

Are there bathrooms available for the guests?
Yes, Hope Farms has porta-potties available for guest usage.

What hours can I host an event at Hope Farms?
The Farm is open from 7:30am to 9:00pm daily. There is no access to the site for events before 6:30am or after 10:00pm.

Per county law, all music must stop by 8:59pm and event must be completed by 10pm. All personal items must be removed. All attendees must be out. Breakdown and cleaning of space must be complete by this time. 

Do I need Event Insurance? Why do I need it?
Event insurance is required for all events.

Insurance policy will need to be presented to us no later than 14 days prior to your event.

It is important to consider of all the situations that come along with events. Property damage, injury or accidents, event cancellations, etc. are a possibility and you want to make sure your insurance policy will cover you.

Is a deposit required when booking an event?
Events must be paid in full upon the signing of contract.

Payment types accepted: Check, money order, certified funds or credit card. Credit card and debit payments will incur a 3.5% service charge.

We are a non-profit.  Do we get a discount?
Yes you do! Non-profits receive a 20% discount

I need to cancel. Now what?
Cancellations must be made in writing.  

Events canceled 61+ days before event will receive a full refund. 

Events canceled 60 days or less will not receive a refund.
          
Can we rent the VRBO Farm house with our event?  
The VRBO farm house is booked through other channels. Check the VRBO listing and calendar for availability and pricing.

Can I come see the venue?
Venue tours available Tuesday 9:00 10:00am and Wednesday 5:30 - 6:30pm. Appointments are required.

RED BARN LOFT

How do you get upstairs?
The barn is accessed via stairs on the inside of the barn. This is the only access point. 

Is there A/C in the loft?
There is no A/C in the loft. There are ceiling fans and windows on all sides that help with air circulation. Keep in mind the space can get warm in the afternoons.

Are there tables and chairs?
Yes, tables and chairs are included. The room is already set up in a reception style (think of a restaurant). We do not provide linens.

Can I re-arrange the room?
Yes, but it is your responsibility to return the room to the original setup by the end of your contracted event time.

Is there water access in the loft?
There is limited water access.
